The Economics 120 Midterm was today and I do believe that had to be on the far end of the easier side of the Hypothetical Scale of Difficulties. The entire thing was a multiple choice ordeal, which might have proven a little tiresome and confusing, had I not drawn profuse diagrams and other graphical reminders to myself what was being described. Economics is one of those things that might sound very complicated in questions/readings, but can actually be very sensical if you take time to understand what is really going on. Anyway, long story short, I rocked it.
I then hurried back to the DC building on Waterloo campus to write the Little c Math Contest. As is usual for me, I am almost sure I got all the questions of the first and second parts, but as for most of the questions in the final part (i.e. the Insanity Conundrums) I was left with not enough time and more or less blind stabs in the dark. It’s only a contest but I do believe in doing things and actually caring about the results.
I then hurried back home when, lo and behold, in the hallway Whitney comes and playfully taps me on the head with her badminton racket. She asked me if I was going to badminton and I recalled that I had checked and there wasn’t any tonight. I checked again and there was. So I hurriedly grabbed my stuff and ran out the door again for some badminton. Not having had dinner wasn’t so bad since my lunch was big. Coming back home was also quite interesting, because Anna called the UW shuttle service for us three and so we took a ride in a van back to UWP (which is a long walk from the CIF Athletic Complex). I spent most of the time asking about 10-codes (like 10-4 and 10-20) that I heard the radio-girl using. We got dropped off at Beck Hall in UWP (where Anna is living) and then I walked Whitney back to Wilmot (where the two of us are residing).
All in all, not a bad day at all. Cold, yes. Sunny, yes. Aced, yes. Here’s to good times at school!
