5 things that went down this week and took a bunch of my time:
- Job Interview: I got interviewed for a pretty awesome position at a pretty big company. I was up against four fourth year accounting students for an accounting job, and I got ranked by some stretch of fate. It was pretty badass if I do say so myself. Oh yeah, didn’t get the job, but the interview went well and I’ve got contacts now.
- New Venture Presentations: For Business 111, we’ve been building up a new business idea since last term and it culminated in a final presentation in class, for Round 1.
- Maple Calculus Lab Assignment: Really, I hate Maple. It’s a powerful program, sure, maybe, but it’s so complicated and mark-up/syntax heavy that it just feels clumsy and slow. Time-consuming and silly.
- New Venture Competition Semi-Finals: We moved on. Got owned by a faulty projector. I’m pissed. That’s the end of that.
- New Venture Competition Finals: I went to watch and socialize. We totally could’ve beat a good half of the six finalists.
As you can see, this week has been really quite busy. Explains why I’ve not posted until now. I am off to chat up my dearest and get some rest sooner tonight.
