info @ the P.Pole 10.13.10 [limera1n Edition]

I’ve been rocking my iPhone 4 for about a month and a half now and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It’s just so handy and pretty to be toting around an all-in-one device (especially since I upgraded from a random Koodo phone, a first generation iPod Touch, and no digital camera to speak of).

This past Sunday, limera1n was released to enable jailbreaking of iDevices on iOS firmware 4.1 and below, with support (finally) for the iPhone 4. Needless to say, I totally cracked Ulrich wide open to all sorts of exploitation. Here are some quick screenies:

5 things I loaded up from Cydia right away:

  • Winterboard + Glaskart HD theme (UI, app, and icon theming app)
  • SBSettings + Serious SBSettings HD theme (quick access to common system toggles)
  • iLocalis (enables tracking and remote access to the phone via web browser whenever it connects to the Internet, in case of theft)
  • Popup Blocker (paid, customize where, when, and what popups to block, like annoying “Cellular data is turned off…” notifications)
  • Miscellaneous UI hacks (like enabling a 5-icon dock, hiding the lock icon from the statusbar or the clock + date from the lockscreen)

All in all, I’m pretty excited about all the stuff that’s soon to be updated to support iOS 4.1 and the Retina display on iPhone/Pod 4′s (since the jailbreak was released just days ago, it will take developers some time to catch up).

Anyway, all the credit goes to the original authors of these themes and artworks. The only value added by me was collecting and assembling these snippets and putting them together on the same phone. Also, for anyone wondering, the girl in the lockjscreen is Dawn (한희정) originally from Bluedawn (who is now doing solo stuff I believe), and the girl in the Springboard wallpaper is YoonA (윤아) from Girls’ Generation/SNSD.
