I have Internet again! This term I’ll be staying with my grandmother down the street from my apartment in Toronto since I am on co-op, downtown.
5 things that will be special about the next four months:
- my cousin Herman and my sister Moyee are getting married (and to each other no less!)
- I’ll be commuting week-daily by bus for the first real time since high school
- there will be Internets at my grandma’s house (I think I’m responsible for paying TekSavvy while I’m here, so I’m not sure if my dad will keep it around after I move back to Waterloo in January)
- I’ll be accessible to my non-university friends and family on a regular basis, again for the first time since high school
- there should be time to redo the body for my fretless bass (assuming I can work something out with the shop that is doing the major legwork)
I think being back in Toronto is gonna be a healthy change for me; I’ve been cooped up in small-town Waterloo for something like three years. It is going to be pretty wicked not having to consider “Should I pay $20 for round-trip bus fare to maybe see Moyee/Amy/Shivon/my family this weekend?” every time I start to miss home.
