WordPress has got great functionality and is easy to customize, but it’s been pretty slow goings. Let me explain. For the past couple weeks (i.e. ever since I switched over to this server) I’ve made changes to my theme settings and codes but haven’t had them show up. Reloading the theme/switching themes and back has been the only way for me to get the changes to load up. You can understand how incredibly annoying it would be to have to reload my theme just to see what an extra line of code will look like. I am still not sure what the problem(s) was exactly but both Opera and Internet Explorer didn’t seem to work even after I set the chmod write/read/execute settings to 777 (basically unlocking everything). That’s also when I decided to give it a whirl on Firefox. Lo and behold! It works! I can now edit and rearrange and all the good stuff and see instant changes through Firefox (Firefox also doesn’t <acronym title=”Screw up”>bork</acronym> my posting text, but more on this in a later round of FF vs. Op). Be sure to see some more changes to the template now that I can edit things so easily…
