PSP Mmods – Mm-mm Good!

It’s been a few weeks since I decided to really get crackin’ on my PSP’s flash memory (the part that lets you tweak stuff). So far, I’ve got the Dark Black (what a stupid name) theme to work on my PSP along with editing the function of the Network [Firmware] Update (useless to PSP hackers like myself) button to reboot/shutdown my PSP. I also renamed some of the buttons for my own liking.

I also decided that PSP’s native homepage possibilities are pretty crappy so I decided to check out a little plug-in/extension called “iPSP” which is, as you might have guessed, an iPhone homepage clon with mail, chat, weather, etc… It’s all in development at the moment so there are still some kinks to be worked out. Nevertheless, it’s a slick and mostly functional change from just the standard Google search homepage (it takes a mother load of time to type on the PSP’s keyboard if you’re unfamiliar with it).

Here are some screens and photos.

If there’s one thing I think is a must for my personal affects, it’s got to be customization. If something just will not change the ways I need it to, I soon find them discarded or rotting from not being used (case in point: my textbooks). The amount of effort or energy needed to get things the way I want isn’t important since I’m the kind who will put in countless hours as long as I know I’ll be achieving something instead of nothing.

For any PSP owners/considerers out there, check out PSPISO (also linked in my sidebar) for all your hacking needs.
