Yesterday I went to my Chemistry teacher for some steamy one-on-one action (i.e. I needed her to explain to me how activating and deactivating ortho-, para-, and meta- directors worked during electrophilic substitution involving aromatic organic compounds). This was our conversation, almost verbatim:
“Uh, hi Miss. I have a question for you.”
“Is it the answer to life, the universe, and everything?”

“…”
“…That’s 42.”
“Well done!”
