I recently started using Google Reader and it’s awesome, but this post isn’t really about Google Reader, apart from mentioning that it’s because of GR that I managed to catch this post on Pulpit Magazine. Dethroning Jesus is a book which discusses six major claims that have been levelled against Christ’s identity as who He said He was and provides ample evidences with explanations to refute these claims. I learned yesterday, through a conversation with a close Muslim friend yesterday, about the importance of being able to defend Christ’s identity as exactly who He said He is, who the Bible says He is, etc… because there are a lot of (often subtle) variations out there to His identity. That, obviously, is problematic.
Anyway, I plan on buying this book over Amazon.ca (yes, that should be read as a “Screw you!” to the overpriced monopoly that is Mitchell’s Family Books) along with a neat little leather-bound ESV Bible I’ve been eying for some time now. Now, if I could only convince my mother of the spiritual benefits of getting a new pair of passive noise-isolation earphones at the same time, I’d be set…**
**I realize these are on sale on the US Amazon… which is a bit of a deal-breaker but I wonder whether I could order them anyway and see what would happen.
