Would the real Christ Jesus please stand up?

First, see Rom. 5:1. Then the quote (from here):

This faith is real faith, or true saving faith, not just an empty mental acknowledgment of God’s existence which is what those who “say” they have faith but show no corresponding godliness are guilty of. Incidentally, you should realize that faith is only as good as who you put it in. Just having faith in something doesn’t mean you’re saved. That is why it is important to have the True Jesus, because if you have great faith but it is in the wrong Jesus, then your faith is useless.

This ought not be surprising, but there is a huge difference between what the Bible has to say about Jesus (in its original form) and what other texts have to say about Him, and what some versions of the Bible (such as that of the Jehovah’s Witnesses) have to say about Jesus. I won’t automatically disqualify them just because they’re different than my Bible-based position, but they can probably be disqualified on the grounds of historical accuracy and reliability, credibility of authors, and whole host of other techniques historians use to cross-reference stuff and determine the validity of things such as these. That ought to separate the propaganda from the coroner’s report, I’m sure.

On an unrelated note/slight update, here’s how I scored on a “Are you a heretic?” quiz.
