5 new things about this new term:

  • Jocelyn… is in my English class.
I must say, this is a strange situation. I’m not entirely sure whether this makes me glad or nervous (though there’s definitely a mixture of the two). Honestly, I don’t know what to say (it’s only been the second day back, after all)! And… that is that! *dusts hands, unnecessarily triumphant*
  • I got raped on the Chemistry exam.
Technically, I did average (predicted level 5 is pretty much a super-average score), but seeing as how I’d much rather be exceptional than average and seeing as how I was only 0.5 of a mark off from making the low-end cut-off for a predicted level 6, you can see where my frustration is coming from. The stuff isn’t difficult, but I’m starting to get annoyed with having to phrase things just so to get marks for what IB looks for.
  • I am bored.
For the most part, I think I’ve just been mostly disinterested (at the very worst) with school stuff, but lately, I’ve been downright bored. Bored with games, with shows, with work, with food even, and with school. Either I’m hard to please, or I’m itching for something a little bit more than fine. In any case, I’ve been growing increasingly bored with everything, so perhaps you can rescue me from boredom-depression with some refreshing slice of life to share with me.
  • I’ve grown quite fond of nostalgic music.
Recently, I grew very hungry. For food? Perhaps! For sustenance? More perhaps! For affection? Nein, I won’t admit that (not here anyway). Anyway, one thing I was really craving was some of the musicks I really enjoyed (for whatever sinister reasons) back in grade 9. I thought it oddly fitting that now, three years and some later, I would do a check-up on bands I admired back in the day. Eagerly, I went and looked up some bands like The Spill Canvas and The Juliana Theory to see what they had been up to since I phased them out for less indie sounds. Nostalgia ensues. I’ve been soaking in their new and old stuff along with massively depressing Pilate musicks for the past week or so and am enjoying it (or what, reveling in their induced-sadness?) thoroughly.
  • I’m assembling a list of songs to learn and play.
Awhile back, I took Sherman’s guitar and started playing it. Of course, it is awesome of me to play the guitar because the guitar is in actuality awesome. Now, if only I could get a certain someone to play it for, I’d be set! Oh how my life is set on display for the Entarwebs (and its Spydirs) to see. *sigh*
