5 things to sum up this year:

Captaining Team Emmanuel at TC 2007 with Capt. Raf and Coaches Caleb and Joyce was thoroughly a blast, not to mention us Emus winning something. (March)
My first IB exams went well enough and I’m quite satisfied with my first two final marks. (May)
Placing fourth in two divisions for school badminton wasn’t that bad considering Henry and I lost to the likes of Earl Haig and York Mills… This year could potentially be nuts. (June)
Playing the bass for LoaH and retreat were great learning experiences since I’ve never been on teams with such experienced worship leaders–like Catherine and Gabriel, for example. (July, August)
Scoring sixth in VPCI for the Canadian Open math contest wasn’t bad at all, but I only wish I had lost to Shivon by a larger margin–losing by a single point sucks hard. (November)

Obviously there has been more to this past year than I’ll let on at the moment, but as for now, that’s pretty much all the mostly superficial highlights I can remember or care to mention. I was reading around on Monergism the other day and came across this article: “The Challenge of Islam According to the Reformers” on Frontline Fellowship. I’m just throwing this out there since I don’t know what to think about this issue just yet. For one thing, I don’t have the sermons or whatnots from Luther and Calvin to check whether that is indeed what they said about Muslims based on interpretations of the Bible (since that’s what this article boils down to). Secondly, I have a bunch of friends who happen to be Muslim that I don’t want to recklessly offend without good reason just yet. That, and I honestly am still taking this with a grain of salt. I will need a bit more time for reading and discussing before I can come to any conclusions of my own.
